Ellen Fredbeck-Ramírez has authored a chapter in a newly published book edited by Indiana University professor Roger J.R. Levesque.

The book reviews and critiques current legal protections given to adolescents in a variety of areas including technology, education, and criminal justice. Each chapter focuses on a different challenge including adolescents’ right to privacy, protection from online predators, education rights, and protection from human trafficking.

Ellen’s chapter addresses labor and sex trafficking affecting youth, the current legal climate surrounding both victims and perpetrators of youth trafficking, and suggests proposals for reform.

The chapter is entitled Protecting Youth from Trafficking and can be found in Adolescents, Rapid Social Change, and the Law: The Transforming Nature of Protection.
